Community Service

The San Diego office recently successfully represented a pro bono client from Guatemala, whose family was killed in the civil war when he was a child and who continued to suffer severe persecution stemming from his family's role in the civil war. The client's application to stay in the U.S. under the Convention Against Torture was denied at the trial level. After Paul Hastings lawyers became involved, the Board of Immigration Appeals granted the client Withholding of Removal under the asylum laws.
