The American Lawyer named Paul Hastings the 2010 "Labor and Employment Litigation Law Firm of the Year." This competition honors firms on the basis of their overall litigation record; significant achievements in arbitration, pretrial, trial and appellate proceedings; and noteworthy jury verdicts. Paul Hastings is the only firm to win the Labor & Employment Litigation Firm of the Year twice. This award reflects the large number of sophisticated cases, with successful outcomes, that our Employment Law Department has handled. The American Lawyer has named Paul Hastings as a winner or finalist since the competition began in 2004.
The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers recently named Paul Hastings the Global Labour and Employment Law Firm for the fourth year in a row. Our lawyers have appeared in matters in all 50 US states and throughout the world.
Chambers USA 2009 ranked our national practice a Top-Tier Employment Law Practice with "Extraordinarily High-Quality Work".
We represent clients through all phases and types of employment litigation, ranging from individual charges and cases to broad-scale class and collective actions. The firm is qualified in defending claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour violations, entitlement to employee benefits, misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, unfair competition, labor-management disputes, defamation and other employment-related torts. We also represent employers in inbound and outbound immigration, employee benefits matters, OSHA and traditional labor matters.
As companies face growing challenges in today's global economy, they turn to Paul Hastings for advice on releases, reductions in force, WARN Act considerations, restrictive covenants for departing employees, executive compensation and bonuses, and litigation related to these areas.
