Appellate Litigation
Appellate practice is a critical component of effective dispute resolution, as companies seek opportunities to reverse unfavorable decisions in the courtroom—or look to protect their successes. Our lawyers have the analytical skills, deep legal knowledge and experience, and persuasive writing ability to provide our clients with strategic, effective appellate counsel.
An Experienced Appellate Litigation Team
The lawyers in our Appellate practice have briefed and argued cases in federal and state courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court (USSC). In recent years, we have won several precedent-setting cases in the USSC involving intellectual property, labor and employment, securities litigation, and immigration.
We are regularly called upon to write amicus briefs and to advise organizations such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, the California Employment Law Council, and others regarding employment matters pending in Congress, state legislatures, and courts around the country.
We take on some of the largest jury verdicts in the country including a highly publicized IP case involving more than 50 claims of patent infringement for a global technology company.
