Paul Hasting’s Antitrust Chair, Michael Murray, will be speaking at the ABA’s 71st Annual Antitrust Spring Meeting on March 30, 2023 in Washington DC. Michael will speak on a panel titled, “Private Equity: Villain or Bogeyman?” The discussion will review DOJ officials’ response to FTC Chair Khan's critique of private equity vis-a-vis antitrust approximately one year ago and how it has impacted merger reviews (including divestitures), consent decrees, and conduct investigations. Panelists will take stock of what has stayed the same and what has changed regarding private equity strategies for navigating the agencies.
