Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2015: What Every Practicing Lawyer Needs to Know

Attorneys are often presented with accounting information when working on cases or legal transactions.  While they are not expected to have an accountant’s expertise, understanding the story behind the numbers can only help paint the full picture of a legal matter.  A good grasp of core accounting concepts can put otherwise raw data into an informative legal context. 

PLI's program is designed for the non-accountant attorney and will cover key accounting principles contextualized through every-day examples that attorneys encounter.  Attendees will learn practical skills such as how to read a financial statement, successfully use financial experts and spot accounting pitfalls that can put their firm’s clients or employer at risk.
