Paul Hastings of counsel Adam Weiss has been named among Law360’s 2023 “Rising Stars” for International Arbitration. Mr. Weiss is noted for being a member of a global counsel team that secured an ICC arbitration award valued at roughly a billion dollars for Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corp. against Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis in a drug royalty dispute involving the blockbuster multiple sclerosis drug Gilenya. This accomplishment, along with his role on other successful matters, including a US$205 million victory in an HKIAC arbitration involving a real estate joint venture project in Dalian, China, earned Mr. Weiss a spot among the international arbitration law practitioners under age 40 honored by Law360 “Rising Stars.”
