French Securities Regulator (AMF) Considers Relaxing Listing Conditions for Foreign Issuers
October 22, 2007

Shortly after the French presidential election, the French government announced that the development of Paris as an international financial center was a high priority on its agenda.
One element for improving Paris status in the competitive landscape is to attract foreign issuers to list their shares on Euronext Paris markets.
As a result, the AMF, the French Ministry of Finance, Euronext and market practitioners, including Paul Hastings capital markets partner Erwan Barre, worked through the summer to identify the key components of current legislation, regulation and market rules that should be amended to improve Paris position in the global competitive landscape and to facilitate the listing of foreign issuers securities on Paris capital markets.
