Paul Hastings Advises Acumen in $1.9 Million Investment in NRSP Microfinance Bank

(May 17, 2011) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm advised nonprofit global venture fund Acumen Fund in connection with its minority investment of $1.9 million in NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited, a Pakistani microfinance bank that is majority owned and sponsored by the National Rural Support Programme of Pakistan. The mission of NRSP Microfinance Bank is to reduce the effects of poverty by giving timely access to commercially viable financial products and services to the poor masses of Pakistan.
