Paul Hastings Women's Network Supports Dress for Success CharityThe Paul Hastings London Women's Network and clothier L.K. Bennett hosted a charitable function in support of Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women. The event was attended by numerous Paul Hastings lawyers, staff, and client guests. Against the backdrop of champagne and shoes, we and our clients helped raise funds for Dress for Success' programs that provide professional attire and career development to low-income women. Dress for Success representatives provided an overview of the organization's extensive programs and a style consultant provided tips for professional appearance. |
Paul Hastings Helps John Scurr Primary School Design a Playground of the Future
As a member of the Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership program, the London office has continued helping John Scurr Primary School redevelop their outside space with a significant donation to allow the school to have their Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7) playground redesigned. Having previously donated a number of fruit tress to the school earlier in the year, and with reduced public funding available for capital investment, the school is looking to local businesses as well as lottery funding to assist them help realize their aspiration to create a modern outside space in which lessons can be held and where their pupils can have fun and explore. John Scurr’s head teacher, Bridget Fagan said, “it will allow us to have our ideas drawn-up into a working design to make a bid to the Lottery for funding. We are very grateful to Paul Hastings for their generous donation; it lets us take the first step towards improving the school’s outside environment and our vision of seeing our Key Stage 1 pupils enjoying a purposed designed playground”. Paul Hastings’s assistance with developing the playground is the latest example of the firm’s ongoing commitment to John Scurr where London office members are Reading Partners with Year 3 pupils. |
