Overview

Alicia M. Harrison is a senior associate in the Investment Funds & Private Capital practice at Paul Hastings. Ms. Harrison advises investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, hybrid funds, co-investment funds, and funds of funds, on all aspects of their organization, marketing, operation, and compliance with or exemption from SEC rules and regulations. She also counsels investment advisers on federal and state regulatory issues, including SEC registration and exempt reporting adviser requirements, and advises them on all aspects of their operations. Her practice further includes representing institutional investors in connection with their investments in underlying private funds and negotiations with underlying fund managers. She frequently counsels investment advisers and investment funds regarding compliance with their reporting and other obligations under Section 13 and Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.​

She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Harrison received her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School at Los Angeles, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an executive editor of one of the Loyola of Los Angeles law reviews.
