Marilena Hyeraci is a senior associate in the litigation department of the Paul Hastings Milan office.
Ms. Hyeraci specializes in litigation, civil and commercial matters, criminal corporate law, and data protection. She moreover advises clients in pre-litigation matters and in the assessment of legal risk and development and implementation of corporate compliance models.
Over the years, Ms. Hyeraci has also assisted leading Italian and multinational companies on white collar crimes, on corporate criminal and administrative liability, on internal investigations, including cross-border ones, and on liability proceedings against corporate directors under Legislative Decree 231 of 2001.
She advises clients on establishing privacy compliance programs, also pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation, and provides counsel on responding to authorities regarding suspected security breaches and personal data disclosures.
Before joining Paul Hastings in Milan, Ms. Hyeraci worked in France as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and as a trainee lawyer at the French Minister for Justice in Paris. In Italy and in France, she also worked as a trainee lawyer with two law firms focused on international and private law issues.
She is fluent in English and French in addition to her native Italian.
