
Overview
Charles Anderson is an associate in the Energy and Infrastructure practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office.
Charles’ practice focuses on project finance and project development. He has extensive experience advising project developers/sponsors, project companies and financiers (including national oil companies, multilaterals, commercial banks, export credit agencies and development banks) on one-of-a-kind oil and gas, LNG, infrastructure, power & utilities, energy (including conventional renewables, such as solar, onshore wind, geothermal projects) and natural resources projects and transactions across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe.
He has over 11 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure space while based in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Tokyo and London. Charles previously served as a senior legal advisor at a national oil company in the UAE.
He is recognised as a “Key Lawyer” in the Project Finance space by The Legal 500 (Legalease) Asia 2023.

- Jaderock Investment Singapore Pte. Ltd. (a subsidiary of China’s State Development Investment Corporation) and Asia Hydria Pte. Ltd. in its acquisition of Hydro Sumatra Pte. Ltd., a transaction valued at approximately US$220 million.
