Larry Hass is a partner in the Corporate Department at Paul Hastings in New York and in the firm’s Global Private Investment Funds practice group. Mr. Hass concentrates his practice in assisting clients in the formation of private real estate investment funds and other private equity funds, and in the management, operation and regulatory compliance of such funds. Mr. Hass is also recognized as a leading expert on the interpretation and application of the fiduciary responsibility requirements of ERISA.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Hass served as an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as assistant counsel for Fiduciary Responsibility in the Solicitors Office of the U.S. Department of Labor, and as special assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Mr. Hass is also the general counsel of the Pension Real Estate Association and is a past member of its Board of Directors.
