Matt Kovac is of counsel in the Securities and Capital Markets practice and is based in the Paul Hastings San Francisco office.

Matt advises life sciences and technology companies on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, strategic partnerships, and private equity and debt financings. He has been involved in more than 100 private company financings and has extensive experience in venture capital and growth equity transactions.

Matt’s practice focuses on advising early- and late-stage startups through all the steps of their lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on life science and tech companies.

A former professional ballet and modern dancer, Matt still teaches an occasional pas de deux class at Bay Area ballet schools.
