Michael Reeves is an associate in the Tax practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. He advises clients on a broad range of U.S. tax matters, with a focus on structured credit, collateralized loan obligation transactions, private funds, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Michael received his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 2025. He previously earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2024, where he served as clinic chief of the Federal Tax Clinic and interned with the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel in the Small Business/Self-Employed Division. 

Michael received his B.A. in Government and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. He is admitted to practice law in New York.
