Paul Enríquez is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. He represents and advises biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life-science clients in litigation before federal district and appellate courts. His experience spans a range of technologies and focuses on the chemical and life sciences.

Paul holds a Ph.D. in Structural and Molecular Biochemistry and undergraduate degrees in Genetics and Biochemistry. He is the author of Rewriting Nature (Cambridge University Press 2021), a book exploring the intersection of law, science and policy related to CRISPR and other genome-editing technologies. Paul’s works have been featured in over a dozen scientific and legal publications, including Cell, Nature, the Journal of Biological Chemistry, the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, Biochemistry, the North Carolina Law Review, the Boston University Law Review and the Vanderbilt Journal of Law and Technology, among others. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
