Maks Sklyarov is an associate in the Employment Law practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on employment litigation. He represents employers in lawsuits and arbitrations alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and related theories. He also has considerable experience advising employers on California’s wage and hour laws, revising employee handbooks and policies to reflect changes in the law and drafting enforceable arbitration agreements.

As second chair at the merits hearings, obtained complete defense awards on behalf of a large financial institution in two arbitrations alleging sexual harassment and discrimination by mid-level and C-suite executives.
Represented a national dental insurance provider in a lawsuit brought by its former CEO and obtained a dismissal of the CEO’s fraud claims at the pleading stage.
