Paul Hastings partner Timothy Dickinson serves as Co-Chair of the IBA Anti-Corruption Committee and will open the conference on Wednesday, June 12 at 9:00 am, as well as moderate the "Can we talk about this: voluntary disclosure, settlement and plea bargaining in antibribery cases" at 2:30 pm. This panel will examine foreign bribery cases settled out of court to date, and reflect on prospects of increased use of out-of-court settlement mechanisms in this context.
Paul Hastings partner Bruno Cova serves as the Europe Regional Officer on the IBA Anti-Corruption Committee and is a featured speaker on Thursday, June 13, at 11:00 am to cover "Unsustainable behaviour: bribery in the natural resources sector." This panel will explore the corruption risksspecific to companies involved in the natural resourcessector – fisheries, forestry, agriculture and mining – with reference to caselaw. The potential flow-on effects for the environment and sustainable resourcemanagement will also be discussed.
