Robert Silvers, Partner, joined Paul Hastings on April 17. He served as the Obama administration's Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Cyber Policy, where he led the Department of Homeland Security's engagement on cyber defence with the private sector, its response during significant cyber incidents, and its pursuit of law enforcement cyber investigations. Mr. Silvers also personally negotiated key cybersecurity priorities with the Chinese government's security leadership, engaging on the new cybersecurity law as well as the Chinese government's commitment in 2015 to cease and desist from the cyber-enabled theft of intellectual property.
