FCPA and Anti-Corruption Compliance:Insights and Best Practices in a Heightened Enforcement Environment

Friday, June 25 04:00 AM GMT to 04:00 AM GMT

2010 is already shaping up to be another significant year for enforcement of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) continue to pursue a course of aggressive investigation and prosecution both within the United States and through cooperation with foreign authorities. Oversight and enforcement by foreign authorities, such as through the U.K. anti-bribery bill, is also increasing. Developing and maintaining effective anti-corruption compliance programs should, therefore, be a priority for any entity doing business outside of the United States.

This roundtable is designed to give participants a private forum for obtaining insighton the approach of regulators, recognizing risk areas and red flags in order to manage anti-corruption risks, evaluating and mitigating exposure in M&A transactions, and identifying appropriate and best practices in adopting compliance programs and policies.
