Federal Reserve Board Eases Restrictions: Private Equity Investors Wanted

Friday, 24 October 20089:30 am China/9:30 am Hong Kong/10:30 am Tokyo

As the financial crisis in the United States rapidly expanded throughout the world, the Federal Reserve Board realized it needed to react swiftly to provide Banking Organizations with a measure of relief. By loosening several long-standing limitations, the Fed has allowed Investors to make increased minority investments in Banking Organizations. What does this mean? Who can invest? What rights do you have as a minority investor? What if I want a controlling investment? Given the recent experience, do I want to invest?

Paul Hastings will host a teleconference to review key issues addressed in the Federal Reserve Boards new Policy Statement concerning minority equity investments in banks and bank holding companies. To view our most recent client alert titled, Federal Reserve Board Modifies Long-Standing Minority Investment Guidance with Goal of Encouraging Private Equity Investments, follow this link.
