Overview

Ankush Dhupar  is an associate in the Employment Law Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Mr. Dhupar represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, disability accommodation, employee mobility, and wage and hour issues in both single-plaintiff and class-action matters. He also represents clients in background check litigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, actions brought under the Private Attorneys General Act for alleged violations of the California Labor Code, and government investigations, including those initiated by the EEOC, DFEH, and California Attorney General.

Mr. Dhupar has significant experience representing employers in traditional labor matters, including responding to unfair labor practice charges, labor grievances, election petitions, and organizing campaigns. He has also represented employers on appeal before the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C., and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Dhupar also advises employers facing the numerous practical and legal challenges associated with the ever-changing workplace, including those presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, employee activism, and calls for increased diversity and inclusion.

Mr. Dhupar received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif with specializations in both Business Law and Policy and Critical Race Studies. While in law school, Mr. Dhupar served as Chief Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Raymond J. Ikola of the California Court of Appeal. Mr. Dhupar received his B.A. in both Economics and Political Science, cum laude, from UCLA. 

In 2018, Mr. Dhupar was selected as an Academy Fellow of the National Employment Law Council.
