Overview

Chad Stewart is of counsel in the Complex Litigation and Arbitration practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Dallas office. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes across a range of industries, including energy, manufacturing, automotive, financial services and technology.

Chad has extensive experience litigating in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration forums across the country. His practice spans the full lifecycle of litigation and covers matters involving contracts and business torts, product liability, environmental issues, construction disputes and insurance recovery.

Prior to joining the firm, Chad worked at another leading international law firm. Chad served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Justice Jane Bland on the Texas First Court of Appeals. He graduated from Duke University School of law, where he was an articles editor on Law and Contemporary Problems. He majored in economics at the University of Texas at Austin, where his focus was on statistics and econometrics.

  • An international enterprise networking company at trial in Delaware Chancery Court in an appraisal action brought by dissenting shareholders after a merger. 
  • A major energy company in an insurance recovery arbitration related to a refinery accident.
  • A leading paper manufacturer regarding a multi-billion-dollar environmental dispute with local government.
