Overview

Kevin Taylor is of counsel in the Corporate Department at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s London office. He advises investment banks, asset managers, private credit and corporate clients on a wide range of derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions.

Kevin advises on a range of asset classes, including credit, commodities, indices, FX and rates. He has experience in asset-based lending as well as risk transfer transactions, including back-leverage structures, securitizations, secured loan transactions, Islamic finance, TRS, repo and risk participation transactions.

  • Originators, private equity investors and investment banks with respect to non-performing/non-conforming loan portfolio acquisitions/disposals and financing transactions.
  • Originators and arrangers/lenders on consumer loan ABS, receivables financings, mortgage-backed private and public securitizations and back-leverage finance transactions.
  • Clients on total return swap structures, including the financing of a large portfolio of OTC and physical commodities transactions.
  • Clients on risk transfer structures, including risk participations, credit linked notes and CDS transactions.
  • Issuers on updates to EU-listed debt issuance, structured note and repackaging programs and with respect to structured notes issuances and listings.
  • Utilities companies with respect to whole business securitizations, Holdco and Midco financing transactions/structures.
  • A U.K. bank on the establishment of the first U.K. regulated covered bond program with a cover pool composed entirely of buy to let loans.
  • Credit funds, originators and financial institutions with respect to structured repo financing transactions.
  • Large financial institutions on deal contingent hedging on a number of European M&A transactions.
  • Hedge providers on various securitization, covered bond, whole business securitization and forward flow warehouse transactions.
