FCCs Equal Employment Opportunity Rules Become Effective

New Federal Communications Commission rules imposing significant new obligations on broadcasters to promote equal employment opportunities became effective on March 10, 2003. These new EEO rules are the result of court decisions over the past several years which have struck down earlier EEO rules on constitutional grounds. The FCC has indicated its intention to vigorously enforce these new rules.
