Increased Hart-Scott-Rodino Act Thresholds and Recent Enforcement Actions

The annual increase of jurisdictional and filing fee thresholds under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, were recently announced by the Federal Trade Commission. The revised thresholds will become effective on February 28, 2008.
Also of significance, the FTC has brought two recent civil penalty enforcement actions against violators of the HSR reporting requirements.
