Federal Reserve Bank of New York, NYU Furman Center to Host Fourth Event in Economic Inequality Series

On October 27, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in collaboration with the NYU Furman Center, will host its fourth event in a series of discussions on economic inequality. The event, “The COVID-19 Eviction Cliff–Who’s Affected and How to Mitigate Short- and Long-term Crises?” will highlight insights on housing and evictions and include conversations with researchers, government, think tanks and organizational leaders.

Bank’s Chief Economist Delivers Speech on Working from Home

Andrew G. Haldane, Chief Economist at the Bank of England, delivered a speech entitled, “Is Home Working Good for You?” at the Engaging Business Summit and Autumn Lecture. In his speech, Mr. Haldane explored the impact COVID-19 has had on the way people work in the UK, and considered what that might mean for people’s well-being and the health of the economy.
