Anthony Viola is an associate in the Corporate Department at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. His practice focuses on providing regulatory counsel to clients in cryptocurrency and other financial services sectors.

Before joining Paul Hastings, Anthony served at the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS), where he led a team responsible for reviewing applications to charter limited-purpose trust companies. He also contributed extensively to the DFS Virtual Currency Unit, assisting with supervisory agreement negotiations, reviewing material change requests and drafting and revising industry guidance.

Anthony began his legal career at DFS in 2022, as an Excelsior Fellow.
