Iman Kholdebarin is an associate in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. His practice is focused on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings including inter partes review (IPR), post-grant review (PGR), and patent infringement cases in District Courts. Clients benefit from the breadth and depth of his experiences in technology, business, and law.
Mr. Kholdebarin received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. In addition, Mr. Kholdebarin holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of various non-profit healthcare and wellness organizations. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Kholdebarin spent over ten years as a patent examiner at the USPTO. His specialist area was in medical devices, image processing, and artificial intelligence. In 2019, Mr. Kholdebarin received a Bronze Medal from the Department of Commerce for Superior Performance as a Primary Patent Examiner. Mr. Kholdebarin is admitted to practice law in California and Virginia, and admitted to the Bar of District of Columbia under D.C. App. R. 46-A (Emergency Examination Waiver). Practice supervised by members of the District of Columbia Bar.
