Amendments to the Commercial Code of Japan and the Yugen Kaisha Law of Japan Affecting Japan Branch Offices of Foreign Companies

Recent amendments to the Commercial Code of Japan and the Yugen Kaisha Law of Japan, effective as of April 1, 2003, resulted in certain changes to the requirements applicable to certain companies which are not incorporated in Japan and conduct business in Japan. These Amendments apply to all Foreign Companies whether their Japan branch offices were registered before or after April 1, 2003.
