Overview
Amiri Lampley is a litigation associate in the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice in the Chicago office of Paul Hastings. Her practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, government and internal investigations, futures and derivatives enforcement and other general litigation matters. Amiri represents companies and individuals in high-stakes criminal investigations and civil enforcement actions, including matters involving the DOJ, SEC, and other domestic and international regulatory authorities.
Amiri's practice also draws on significant experience handling complex commercial litigation across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, aviation, retail and consumer products. She has represented both public and private companies in high-value disputes, including business litigation, employment matters and product liability class action lawsuits. Amiri has experience across all phases of litigation, from pleadings and discovery through trial preparation and dispositive motion practice.
Amiri earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she served as the Managing Editor of The Chicago Journal of International Law. Following law school, she also clerked for the Honorable Terrence G. Berg of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Prior to law school, Amiri taught English Language Arts in Detroit, Michigan, and continues to advance educational access for underserved youth through her nonprofit organization, Unearthed Brilliance, Inc.
