David Richardson is a partner in Paul Hastings’ Investment Funds & Private Capital practice and is based in the firm’s London office.

David advises sponsors in relation to the structuring, establishment and operation of private investment funds investing across credit, private equity, infrastructure and real assets. He counsels clients on a broad range of other transactions relating to private investment funds, including fund restructurings, carried interest and co-investment schemes, day-to-day legal compliance and investor facing matters. He also advises sponsors on regulatory capital efficient structuring solutions, such as rated note feeders and CFOs. David has represented Apollo, Bridgepoint, Coller Capital, CVC, EQT, Sona Asset Management, Sound Point and TPG, among others.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, David served as an officer in the Royal Navy for eight years.
