Overview
Brian Kay focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes, and has experience representing clients at the trial and appellate levels of federal and state court, and in international arbitration proceedings. He also counsels companies in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) matters, including regulatory compliance, internal investigations and root cause analyses (RCA), government agency investigations, and responses to workplace injuries and fatalities. Mr. Kay is admitted to practice law in Texas.
Education
Brian Kay earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, worked as a student attorney in the Appellate Civil Rights Clinic, and served on the Editorial Board of the Houston Journal of International Law. Before law school, Mr. Kay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Abilene Christian University in 2016.
