
Overview
Jessamyn Edra is an associate in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Houston office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and compliance counseling with an emphasis on the life sciences industry anti-bribery and anti-corruption.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Edra was a housing rights attorney for the nation’s first legal and civil rights organization serving low-income Asian Pacific American communities, where she represented plaintiffs in an affirmative fair housing litigation and defended tenants against evictions. She also worked for a multinational law firm in Boston. Ms. Edra has participated in the representation of individuals and corporations in state and federal investigations and proceedings involving allegations of securities fraud, insider trading, and violations of Sarbanes-Oxley and the False Claims Act.
In addition, she has experience in risk assessments and developing compliance programs for life sciences clients.
Ms. Edra received her law degree from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Stanford University in 2009, where she graduated with distinction. She was a 2009-2010 U.S. Fulbright Scholar to the Philippines.
