Michael Mattheiss is an associate in the Investment Management practice group at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Los Angeles office. Mr. Mattheiss focuses his practice on the representation of private funds (including hedge funds, private equity funds, hybrid funds and funds of funds) and investment advisers in connection with their structuring, formation and ongoing operational needs, and on regulatory and compliance matters. He also regularly advises institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, fund-of-funds, private and public pension funds and wealth aggregators, in connection with their investments in private funds.
Mr. Mattheiss received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2017 and he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Clemson University in 2013. Mr. Mattheiss is admitted to practice law in California and New York.
