
Overview
Nyssa Leonardi is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Palo Alto, California office. Her practice focuses on all areas of patent litigation, including federal district court litigation.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Nyssa worked in homeland security policy at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). In that role, she worked with key stakeholders across the state in the public and private sector to develop risk assessments and policy strategy based on the threat landscape.
Beyond intellectual property litigation, Nyssa dedicates significant time to various pro bono matters, including matters for asylum applicants and veterans.
Nyssa obtained her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received a certificate in privacy law as part of the High Tech Law Institute, served as a member of the student body and excelled in moot court competitions, receiving quarterfinalist, semifinalist and best oral advocate awards.
In 2018, Nyssa received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. In 2014, she received a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies and Minor in Sociology (cum laude) from San Jose State University. Nyssa is admitted to practice law in California and is CIPP/US certified.
