Overview
Randall V. Johnston is an associate in the Litigation practice and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on complex litigation and international arbitration as well as a wide array of national security and regulatory matters, including advising and advocating on behalf of multinational clients in national security reviews before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and advising clients on matters relating to sanctions, trade controls, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and the Freedom of Information Act. Ms. Johnston maintains an active pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Johnston clerked for the Honorable Kristine G. Baker in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. She received her law degree from New York University School of Law, where she served as an Executive Editor and as the Alumni Committee Chair on the Law Review. At graduation, Ms. Johnston was awarded the Vanderbilt Medal for outstanding contributions to the law school. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Swarthmore College. Ms. Johnston is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, New York, Arkansas, and Missouri.
