Rita Ghanem is a partner in the Energy & Infrastructure practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s London office. Rita’s practice focuses on project development and financings and includes advising both lenders and sponsors, leading financial institutions, export credit agencies, investors and multinational corporate clients in connection with project financings and private placements, as well as acquisition financings, of infrastructure, energy and renewables projects across Europe, the U.S. and Latin America.

AES and InterEnergy in connection with a $790 million senior secured credit facility provided by a syndicate of lenders arranged by Natixis and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking and an approximately $180 million secured credit mezzanine facility provided by an infrastructure debt fund to finance the acquisition and construction of an approximately 670 MW combined cycle natural gas-fired power plant and two transmission lines, in Panama.
