Overview

Elizabeth Oger-Gross is a partner in the firm’s International Arbitration practice and is based in the Paris office. Elizabeth advises clients in complex commercial and investment disputes, with broad experience across a number of sectors and a focus on the energy and construction industries. She has particularly significant experience acting for and against sovereign states. 

Elizabeth has conducted both ad hoc arbitrations and arbitrations under most of the major institutional rules. Her arbitration experience spans the globe, having handled arbitrations in Western and Eastern Europe; Sub-Saharan and North Africa; North, Central and South America; the Middle East; and Asia. She also has substantial experience in cross-border litigation. 

Before moving to the Paris office, she practiced litigation and arbitration in the New York office of another international law firm.

Elizabeth is both common-law and civil-law qualified and acts in both English and French-language arbitrations. She is a member of the USCIB Arbitration Committee and LCA Arbitration Court and teaches or has taught international arbitration at Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), Sciences Po Paris, the University of Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne, ESADE in Barcelona, the Lagos Court of Arbitration, as well as the GAR Academy. She also sits as arbitrator.
