Overview

Robert Nussbaum is a partner in the Financial Restructuring group at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. Robert focuses on financial restructuring and private credit and special situations matters.

Robert represents secured lenders, bondholders, companies, members of management and other parties-in-interest in all aspects of financial restructurings, including out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 bankruptcies. Robert also represents institutional banks, private credit and special situation funds, hedge funds and other investment advisers with respect to a variety of leveraged finance transactions.

Prior to joining private practice, Robert clerked for the Honorable Margaret Cangilos-Ruiz, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of New York. Robert earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Binghamton University and his law degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as an editor on the Law Review and as president of the Bankruptcy Law Society.
