Sripriya Narasimhan

Of Counsel, Litigation Department

Overview

Sripriya Narasimhan is a member of the Complex Litigation and Arbitration and the Investigations and White Collar Defense practices at Paul Hastings. Sripriya has extensive experience in trial and appellate strategy, complex litigation and constitutional law. Throughout her career, Sripriya has worked on significant and high-profile cases and investigations in a variety of industries and practice areas, including consumer protection, pharmaceutical and biotech, technology, data privacy and security, antitrust, and civil rights.

Sripriya has led several bench and jury-trials in state and federal court, giving her capability in every phase of trial litigation, from investigations and pre-complaint assessment all the way through trial. Sripriya also has significant experience in appellate matters, having briefed and argued numerous appeals in both state and federal courts. In addition, Sripriya has represented principals before congressional committees and offices, including for the purposes of responding to document requests and subpoenas and preparing for public and private testimony.

Sripriya’s broad range of experience stems from her time in state and federal government and in private practice. Sripriya has a deep understanding of how different government actors approach issues. With this insight, she is able to offer nuanced counsel to clients, taking into account the challenges they are facing, the specific government actors involved, and the regulatory and litigation environment. In litigation, Sripriya specifically tailors her approach to solving client concerns. She presents bold and creative solutions when effective, but also provides clients with optimal results through restraint and good judgment.

Before joining Paul Hastings, Sripriya served as the deputy general counsel to North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein. In that capacity, Sripriya led much of the office’s high-stakes litigation, offered strategic counseling to the attorney general on trial and appellate matters, and managed sensitive issues. Before that, Sripriya served as associate general counsel at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she counseled the secretary on the department’s regulatory programs and litigation and enforcement. Prior to her government service, Sripriya practiced trial and appellate law at another global law firm and was a member of the adjunct faculty at the George Washington University Law School.
