Brazil’s Grupo ABC sells stake in ad agency Pereira O’Dell to Serviceplan Group

Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it advised Brazilian ad agency Grupo ABC in the sale of its interest in the US ad agency Pereira O’Dell to Germany’s Serviceplan Group.

Grupo ABC's divestment of its 30 percent stake cleared the way for Pereira O’Dell and Serviceplan Group to join forces in a partnership that will strengthen the Munich-based agency's US presence and expand Pereira O’Dell’s global reach. Serviceplan Group has a worldwide network spanning 35 countries; Pereira O’Dell’s US operations are rooted in New York and San Francisco.

Each agency will remain independent and continue to go to market under their respective brands but will now be able to collaborate seamlessly on campaigns as needed.

Grupo ABC is owned by New York-based DDB Worldwide, a division of Omnicom Group Inc.
