Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented Real Estate Capital Asia Partners IV and its investment manager, SC Investment Management Pte. Ltd., in the formation of an $850 million private investment fund that will focus on real estate investment opportunities across the Asia Pacific region. The Fund held its final closing on December 5, 2014, raising capital from a diverse institutional investor base including, among others, public and private pension funds, endowments and private foundations. Paul Hastings also represented the Fund in establishing a $150 million subscription line credit facility.
The Fund plans to acquire investments in real estate and real estate-related investments in the Asia Pacific region through a disciplined investment approach focused on undervalued, undermanaged and distressed situations. SC Investment Management is a private equity real estate investment firm headquartered in Singapore, founded by Suchad Chiaranussati in 2004.
Paul Hastings previously worked with SC Investment Management and its affiliates in the formation of Real Estate Capital Asia Partners II L.P., a $190.3 million fund, and Real Estate Capital Asia Partners III L.P., a $530 million, both recognized as being among the top performing real estate funds formed since 2008.
