GI Partners Sells Waypoint Portfolio to Colony Starwood for $815 Million

Orange County -- Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, represented GI Partners, a leading private equity firm, in a definitive agreement to sell a portfolio of rental properties to Colony Starwood Homes (NYSE: SFR) for approximately $815 million. Paul Hastings acted as exclusive legal advisor to GI during the transaction.

The Paul Hastings team was led by Corporate partners Brandon Howald and Jason Rednour and Real Estate partner John Simonis.

Paul Hastings has represented GI Partners in numerous transactions, spanning over a decade. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017, subject to the satisfaction of various closing conditions.
