Paul Hastings Advises Sciele Pharma in its Acquisition of Victory Pharma

Atlanta, GA (May 21, 2009) Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that it represented Sciele Pharma, Inc., a U.S.-based pharmaceutical company, in its agreement to acquire pharmaceutical manufacturer Victory Pharma. The agreement, valued at $150 million, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2009.

The transaction underscores Scieles strategic plan to further diversify its product portfolio and will generate additional growth for Sciele in the pain market. Atlanta partner Tinley Anderson led the Paul Hastings team, which included associates Michael Greene and Clare Arguedas.
