New York - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, represented hall-of-fame golfer Greg Norman in negotiating a strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG), one of the biggest brand development, marketing, and entertainment companies in the world. This is the second such licensing deal that Paul Hastings has negotiated with Authentic Brands Group.
The Paul Hastings team was led by partner Barry Brooks and associates Trevor Katende and Jennifer Tytel, with assistance on tax matters from partner Doug Schaaf and associate Amy Lawrence, and on IP matters from partner Sam Waxman and associate Brooke Schachner.
Authentic Brands Group, in partnership with Mr. Norman, will own and manage the iconic Shark brand, focusing on the growth and development of licensing, consumer products and endorsements.
Greg Norman Golf Course Design, Greg Norman Real Estate, Greg Norman Media, Greg Norman Investments, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille and Shark Wake Park are excluded from this partnership.
