Seoul – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it has advised Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. on its US$345 million global offering and listing on the Korea Exchange. Hanwha Systems is a leading manufacturer of defense electronics products and a leading provider of information technology services in Korea. This is the second largest IPO in South Korea in 2019. Citigroup Global Markets Korea Securities Ltd., NH Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. and Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. acted as the global coordinators and joint bookrunners for the offering.
Paul Hastings has advised on several landmark capital markets transactions in recent years in Seoul, including ING Life Insurance Korea’s US$977 million IPO, the second largest IPO in Korea in 2017, and Kakao Corp.’s US$1 billion GDR offering in 2018.
