Paul Hastings Advises Piper Jaffray In Acquisition of McCormick & Schmicks by Landrys Restaurants

(November 9, 2011) - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented Piper Jaffray & Co. in serving as a financial adviser to McCormick & Schmick's, a seafood restaurant chain, in its $131 million sale to Landry's Restaurants, an operator and owners of seafood and steak restaurants.

Landrys will acquire all outstanding shares of McCormick & Schmicks for $8.75 in cash. The transaction is expected to close in December 2011 or January 2012.
