Paul Hastings Continues Paris Office Expansion with Addition of Regulatory and Energy Partner Sylvain Bergès
Paris – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global firm, announced today that Sylvain Bergès has joined the Paris office as a partner in the Corporate department. Mr. Bergès is a recognized expert in public law and also one of the leading practitioners in the energy sector. He joins from Gide Loyrette Nouel where he acted as counsel in the public law and projects team.
Mr. Bergès advises on a wide range of domestic and cross-border energy, project finance and regulatory matters. He also handles numerous litigations before French administrative and civil courts as well as before the dispute settlement body of the French energy regulatory commission (CRE). He is one of the co-authors of the Code de l’énergie commenté (LexisNexis).
His practice also encompasses advice to large utilities, public institutions and institutional investors on all aspects of complex public law issues, including public procurement, public property law, financial public law and statutory law of public entities.
