Paul Hastings Representing Rural/Metro in Acquisition by Warburg Pincus

(March 28, 2011) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm is representing leading ambulance and private fire protection services company Rural/Metro Corporation on its acquisition by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus.

Pursuant to the agreement, Rural/Metro shareholders will receive $17.25 per share of common stock in cash. The transaction, valued at $670 million, is expected to close June 2011 subject to shareholder approval, customary closing conditions, and regulatory approvals.
